From HR to Strategic Partnership: The Transformation of Recruiting in a New Era of HR Management

In the current economic environment, recruiting is no longer an operational task: it is considered as a full-fledged strategic business process on which the success of the organization as a whole depends. The need for a strategic approach to recruiting is due to a complex of interrelated factors. On the one hand, this is a paradigm shift in personnel management, on the other hand, the powerful influence of external drivers such as digitalization, increased global competition for talent, and changing expectations of candidates themselves, which forces companies to build and deliver a strategically significant value proposition for employees already at the hiring stage. The article is devoted to the analysis of the transformation of recruiting, which has turned from an auxiliary HR function into a strategic asset of the company. The reasons why traditional methods of personnel selection are ineffective in the modern business environment are investigated.
